In June 2007, Thabang Skwambane, The Lonely Road Founder, embarked on the Lonely Road Challenge - cycling alone and unsupported across six countries from Johannesburg to Tanzania, a distance of nearly 5,500km, and then climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with a team of 11 climbers.
Thabang is a former investment banker, as well as co-founder and Executive Director of Kaelo Consulting, a health and wellness consultancy specialising in HIV/Aids programmes.
