On the 1st of April we will be turning our attention to the largely uncelebrated angels of our work, our caregivers.
We have 156 caregivers working in Ga-Dikgale, who give of themselves every day of their lives, often without payment or even recognition, to care for the orphaned and vulnerable children in their community. This is one day that is for thinking, planning, dreaming and celebration, and its all about them!
The day will consist of an Imbizo, followed by our annual caregiver awards. The Imbizo in the morning is a facilitated brainstorming session where we plan and prioritise our activities with our child care facilities for the coming year and into the future. It is the first event of its kind but we hope to add it to our annual calendar going forward. Following a lunch, we will host our second annual caregiver awards, where we recognise each caregiver for their invaluable input, as well as a couple of childcare facilities who have truly gone above and beyond.
Should you wish to contribute towards the day (gifts, toiletries/cosmetics, cupcakes, sweets, stationery or funds towards any of these things), please contact us for more information.
